As you may have noticed, this week has been pretty shit. Feminists have been letting the side down left and right, however, there have been a couple rays of sunshine thanks to the likes of Suzanne Moore, Julia Gillard, and now Kate Nash.
I've had quite the girl crush on Kate Nash for sometime. While it took me a while to like Foundations, I slowly learned that Kate Nash wasn't exactly just Lily Allen in a tea dress. Oh no. Kate Nash is a ass-kicking feminist musician. (With awesome hair.)
A brilliant combination of activism, feminism and fashion, Kate has made headlines recently not only from her reaction to the London riots, but for her initiative to get more women into rock and roll, as well her killer (if not surprising) video for "Underestimate The Girl".
If you'd like to watch Kate live, she's announced her fantastic Halloween gig with the best theme of all time: Buffy The Vampire Slayer. *fangirl scream*
The show will be at the Hackney Attic on Wednesday 31 October, at 8.30pm.
