Today's gift guide is all about books for the 'deep-thinkers' in your life. Those people who want more than momentary escapism from a book; they want to be informed, enlightened and left to contemplate what they've just read.
The Yellow Birds, Kevin Powers
Published amid a cacophony of praise and award nominations, including the National Book Awards, this is the critics' choice for deep-thinkers this Christmas. An Iraq ...

2012 has been a great year for female singer/songwriters. With this in mind, I asked the BitchBuzz team for the songs that they felt we’re the best from female artists in 2012. The resulting list was long and diverse.

What are you doing tomorrow at 7.30am? Sleeping? Just getting in? Cuddling whoever you brought home last night? Whatever your sordid plans were, they're now cancelled. Why? Because there's a new Harry Potter shop opening. THAT'S WHY.
The brand new Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾ will officially be open to the public tomorrow, Saturday 15 December at 7.30am. Which means, depending on our level of Harry Potter Fangirlism, you may have to cancel your plans...

Whilst we’re all busy wrapping gifts and defrosting the turkey, the race is on to claim 2012’s coveted Christmas number one spot. The Christmas number one is a great British tradition, an institution. Nobody’s quite sure why it matters. But we still love to debate who should and shouldn’t top the charts during the Christmas week and we really hate it when it’s not our favourite.

At under two weeks away, Christmas is definitely fully upon us - and for me it means it's time to get seasonal with my favourite (US) TV Christmas episodes. After much pontificating I've managed to compile a list of my top 5 festive favourites for your perusal. Here they are...
