When I was 12, I spent most of my time making my Barbies 'do it' and fantasizing about Dean Cain in The New Adventures of Superman.
I was not playing guitar and harmonizing with my eight-year-old sister. Basically, sisters Lennon and Maisy have put my childhood to shame.
Lennon, 12 and Maisy, 8, are the daughters of the country duo The Stellas, and they're now YouTube's rising stars in their own right. Their covers of songs like Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend", which they perform a capella, snapping and doing choreographed hand movements with empty, plastic containers which serves as the beat of the track. Oh, and they're harmonizing. The closest my sister and I got to harmonizing when we were 12 and 8 was trying to replicate Xena's warrior cry whilst throwing around a frisbee.
Their voices are so pure, and so amazingly smooth for being so young. And can we talk about Lennon's style? And the fact that they have the best last name ever? I LOVE THEM. You can watch a few more of their covers on their YouTube channel.
I also love Maisy's cover of Missy Higgin's "Secret" where she plays the guitar and sings on her own. These girls are too much. (Please cover a Gaga song.)
