Easy Baking: How to Make 'One Bowl' Brownies

By Cailin Szczesiul

I get it, baking can be a little overwhelming at times. The precision and meticulousness it takes is not for everyone. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.

I remember when I first moved out on my own even standing near the oven sent chills down my spine.

I quickly learned; cook or starve and from that point on I cooked. It wasn’t exactly the prize winning apple pie at the local fair but I quickly discovered that when learning to cook or bake something new, it’s best to start with a recipe with few ingredients.

These brownies are the best and so easy to make.  So instead of using your oven to store blankets (yes, I know someone who does this) go ahead and be daring…BAKE!

Ingredients

5 oz. of Unsweetened Chocolate

¾ cup butter

2 cups sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp.  Vanilla

1 cup flour

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F.

Prepare a 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Spray foil with cooking spray.

Melt chocolate and butter at medium temperature on a stovetop. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla and flour; mix well. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake for 35 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
