I have always loved guacamole. Maybe it’s because it’s exotic, or perhaps because it’s the most expensive side dish at a Mexican restaurant. Whatever the reason, I’m quite proud of my guacamole, and it’s my favorite way to get my Omega fatty acids. As this is my personal way of making guacamole there aren’t really set measurements. The easiest way to get the tastiest guac is to taste along the way and adjust as needed. So make sure to have some tortilla chips handy for easy testing.

That there is the best tofu scramble I have ever had. I ate it over the weekend at Blossom after hours of wedding dress shopping. Maybe it was shopper's delirium, but I swear it's the best thing I've eaten in a while. For whatever reason, I'd never tried to make a tofu scramble at home. But Saturday's lunch had me inspired and I decided to give it a try in my own kitchen. It came together quite easily, and it's endlessly adaptable. Yo...

I once declared that I didn’t like ice cream to a group of female friends. There was a stunned silence followed by suspicious glances. It was as if I’d some how betrayed the sisterhood or kicked a puppy. I decided to keep my indifference towards milk chocolate to myself, it didn’t seem worth a spell in social Siberia.

Recently I purchased some blueberries by request for my dear husband. I knew that neither of us really eats blueberries, but I did it anyway. Now I have to use the last of the blueberries before they go bad. Enter: Blueberry Scones. Now this is a tricky one on a few levels. A. I’ve never made scones. And B. Scones in the United States and the U.K., from what I understand, are somewhat different. According to

Vanilla has always been my favorite flavor, but I've always felt like it got a bad rap for being plain and boring. Maybe it's because vanilla is used to describe boring sex, but let me tell you, vanilla is anything but boring. It's smooth, alluring, almost smoky and quite sexy.

Some of you must be lucky enough to have gardens overflowing with tomatoes right now. If you do, I am jealous. If you don't, pick up some beautiful tomatoes from your local farmers' market (like I did!) and make this tangy, slightly spicy salsa. Then sit back and enjoy these last throes of summer.

In order to cheer up a loved one who wasn't feeling well, I decided to bake some cookies, event hough cookies and I haven't always exactly been friends. I've created hockey pucks and wafer thin disappointments in the past, and even the Joy of Cooking couldn't help me. Usually when I have a craving for cookies I find myself at the grocery store purchasing refrigerated cookie dough. But these cookies were 'get well' cookies! I needed to break out the big guns, so I again turned ...

Blondies are my favorite. In my opinion they are majorly underrepresented. Everyone goes crazy for their cousin the brownie, but I think blondies are where it's at. Blondies are rich, vanilla scented pieces of heaven that happen to share a name with my favorite band. What do brownies have going for them? Ugly uni...

The last few days in London have been uncharacteristically hot, and no doubt the rest of the world that actually have normal summers are enjoying the sun's heat. However, if you tend to wither like a flower in heat. you're no doubt in need of a refreshing beverage. One of my favourite drinks to enjoy when it's hot (or when I'm in Paris) is Orangina. A fizzy, fruity drink that's light and sweet without being sickly, Orangina always hits the spot.
