I appreciate this title may be a little controversial and some may be horrified at the thought of sleeping apart from their partners. But as a light sleeper who is disturbed by pretty much any noise, movement or changes in temperature (I admit I must be a nightmare to share a bed with), my 40 winks are priceless.

I’m one of those people at Christmas time. I love almost everything about it. I was playing festive tunes by the end of November, I absolutely adore finding perfect presents and I’ll happily wrap your presents if you want me to. And the glitter. Oh, the glitter.

Have you ever been to a dance class as an adult? I've heard so many tales of body snark, cliques and bitchy teachers that, to be honest, I'd never even thought about going.
Many of us would love to learn to dance - remembering the fun we had twirling around to music as a kid - but are worried we'd be crap, uncoordinated and clumsy. We're put off by gym classes filled with slender women in the latest sportswear who are all sucking up to the teacher. That stuff'...

My nearest NHS hospital is known locally as a bit of a joke. I am met with shocked expressions and a resounding 'Good Luck' if ever I say I need to visit it. Just two weeks ago, a poor old man was discharged from this hospital with MRSA minus his false teeth. I don't know how a set of false teeth can be misplaced but according to the article, it happens ...

Christmas shopping. Two words that strike fear into the heart of the half-arsed girl. The activity involves many things that require being arsed: thinking, making lists, braving crowds of people, carrying heavy objects on public transport...
Even the prospect of a cheery German Christmas Market with steaming mugs of Glühwein is tainted by the fact that NO ONE really cares about charming Bavarian handy-crafts in the months January-November.

When you hear the term "faking it", you might automatically think I'm just talking about the “Big O”, but it goes deeper than that. 'Faking it' goes down to the very psychology of your sex life; if you’re faking an orgasm, then you’re faking the whole thing.

The world of women's cycling is an exciting place to be at the moment. Never before have professional female cyclists been so prominent in the public eye.
Likewise, women who ride their bikes as part of their daily commute, for fitness or for fun are finally being noticed by cycling retailers. And, in some cases, there are even cycling retailers being created specifically for women - the very best of which being

If you're training for a half-marathon, Cycletta ride or you're just trying to get fit, you know that it's not exactly easy. Between sore muscles, motivation issues and the constant washing of gym kit, training and working out on a regular basis is hard work - but the pay off is priceless.
