I’ve noticed how the peculiarly chaotic levels of hormones that accompany either a new relationship or the end of one can manifest themselves in odd ways in everyday life.
Flirting at these times to restore some damaged self esteem is essential and healthy. But … who to flirt with safely?

St Augustine once said “he that is not jealous is not in love”, and while I don’t like to believe it, my previous experiences in my own and others’ relationships have led me to consider him correct.
We’ve all experienced an encounter with the green-eyed monster. Whether it’s been envy, which tends to be targeted at others for what they have which we do not, or jealousy, which is formed by our own emotions. Jealousy is an ugly but powerful comb...

The relationship one has with food is a deeply personal experience. Call me melodramatic, but my relationship with food is way more important to me than my relationship with almost any person.
It’s a pretty intimate relationship, actually. Food is sustenance and purely there to fuel our bodies, but most of us spend several hours a day either eating, or considering what to eat. Food is intrinsically linked to our psychology and emotions.

Last week I wrote about the pitfalls of fancying your friends. But what about those other taboo areas of flatmates and colleagues?
Lesbian house shares in particular have always had a certain frisson. The adverts in the first place state that ‘professional lesbians’ are sought. Well, if I’m professional at being a lesbian, doesn’t that make me some ...

BitchBuzz is thrilled to have a guest post from the mighty Lucy Fry about her inspirational eight week journey preparing herself and training for a "white collar" boxing fight. Here is Lucy's story...
For eight weeks, every single muscle in my body has ached. Most of those weeks I've done at least 11 training sessions (twice a day Monday–Friday and once on Saturday) in Soho&...

I have recently discovered that a bit of effort when it comes to looking good makes me feel a whole lot better. There is, however, no use in looking hot if you’re feeling anything but. So I’ve been ‘working on ma fitness’ (thank you Fergie) to ensure that I get the best of both. It’s not that I want to lose weight; I want to feel healthier.

We’re all aware that our fitness is important, but sometimes it isn't exactly as fun as we’d like. I had a strict stationary cycling regime for a while, but soon I grew bored with the same playlist, and the repetitiveness of the activity.
But then I heard of hula hooping as an exercise and it blew my mind. My favourite First Lady, Michelle Obama does it, and so does lady-crush superstar Beyoncé. Hooping seems to be trend now, but the fitness...

At what point in a relationship does the romance fizzle out? At what point are we comfortable going to the toilet in front of our other half or letting them see us bleaching our mustache hairs? (I can't be the only woman that does this.)
Most relationships start with the honeymoon period where everything he/she does is amazingly wonderful, we think things like oh-my-God-I-can't-breathe-I-love-him/her-so-much. We want to have sex Christian Grey and Anastasia Ste...

Let’s get something straight. I am a feminist, but if you talk shit about my boyfriend you are dead to me.
I may be accused of being a traitor here but I stand by it. What I say about his lack of folding skills and his inability to put the seat down is one thing. What you say? That’s just not on. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?

When a friend first suggested I started running when I was looking for a new exercise to try out, I thought he was mad.
‘How can that be enjoyable?’, I thought. I wasn’t the most unfit person (although I certainly wasn’t fit either), but I was bored of what I was doing at the time and wanted to try something new. So I gave running a shot – and you know what? I actually enjoyed it! And you can too.
