If Harry and Sally spent a whole film working out if men and women can be friends, then what about Sally and Sally?
Women are supposed to have girlfriends, as in friends who are fellow girls... yet what if you're a gay woman? Are the possible pitfalls similar?

I'm a selfish person. I love my family, my partner and my friends but ultimately, I'm all about myself.
I like to spend the money that I earn, on my flat and presents for my loved-ones, but I'm very aware that what I want in life comes before anything else. I am also aware that this sounds terrible. Why does 'selfish' have such negative connotations? Why has it become such an insult?

We’ve all been through a phase of not really bothering, right? Tell me it’s not just me.
My latest phase came to me towards the end of a tedious relationship; a relationship that was leading me down a dangerous road of not-good-enough. Ridiculous, huh? Don’t believe any shit a man uses to undermine you and get yourself the hell out of there.

This time last year, I was working for the head office of a clothing company in London.
I was earning a lot of money but; I was on call 24/7, leaving the house at 6am and getting back at 7.30pm and working alone in the corner of the office with only Spotify to keep me company. I can't even use Spotify now without the annoying advert lady's voice bringing back memories of sitting in the corner crying into my porridge and wanting to throw my Blackberry at the wall. Se...

As the mornings - and evenings, for that matter - are getting darker faster, I think we all need a little pick me up sometimes.
No matter how down, upset or frustrated I feel, there are some things that are guaranteed to cheer me up quickly. I hope they might help you too. Here are just a few of them...

Living with a partner can sometimes be a challenging experience. There’s a whole new lot of stuff to accommodate; from a new vinyl collection to the excess pots and pans. It’s entirely rewarding, but like most things, there can be some bumps in the road.
Here are a few things it helps to remember...

Last week I covered flirtexting, whcih leads me to sexting - an entirely different art that requires a more defined skill and a little more bravery.
While I'm sure I should be advising you of the warnings and the potential consequences, you won't listen to those (and neither would I). You're going to do it anyway (and so am I). Sexting, done right, can ma...

Last week it became known that HMV had introduced a new uniform policy for their staff, after announcing making their lowest profit since they opened in 2002. Part of this new uniform policy states that staff must be clean and presentable (fair enough - no one likes to be shrouded in B.O while browsing the easy listening sectio...

Claire Mills, a teacher from Llandrindod, Powys, found herself in the news recently after losing an impressive eight and a half stone, reducing herself from a size 26 to a size ten. While great for her, this doesn’t seem all that newsworthy until you hear the reason she decided to diet.

Annie Frenzel is a Berlin-based artist, working out of Lowbrow tattoo studio. She also happens to be fantastic. Not in a totally biased I-want-her-work-so-bad kind of way, in a genuine, she-leaves-me-speechless kind of way.
Annie doesn't claim to have a specialty but instead loves "simple, strong and colourful images". This love comes across heavily in her work, although her ladies are quickly becoming renowned in the tattooing...
