Ride Beautifully with Victoria Pendleton's Bikes

By Cate Sevilla

The women of the Team GB cycling team have inspired thousands - if not millions - of young girls all over the world to get into cycling.

For those of you who are ready to hit the road (rather than just crying on the sofa watching clips from the Velodrome), Victoria Pendleton has designed her very own range of bicycles. Exciting, non?

Aimed at women who are just starting to get into cycling (or haven't been on a bike in years), Pendleton's range includes three different bikes - the Somerby, the Brooke, and the Dalby.

If tearing up the streets road race style doesn't interest you, but cycling through town in a Pashley-style bike, complete with wicker basket and "step-through" frame does, the Somerby will be the bike of choice for you. (Your Instagram followers will love it.)

If cruising isn't your style, and you're looking to pick up a bit of speed or go on longer rides, you can choose from the Brooke or the Dalby. Brooke is what they call a hybrid bike, and is the most affordable in the range at £199.

Meanwhile the Dalby bike has mud guards and 16-speed gears, making it the most sporty out of the three, and the best choice if you're looking to use your bike for both fitness and leisure.

Victoria Pendleton's range of bikes are exclusive to Halfords, and while they've been on sale since March, now that the nation as seen Pendleton on home turf winning Gold and Silver at the London 2012 games, I imagine these will be selling like hot cakes!
