At 4.30 in the morning, while our writer Jeanne-Claire Morley sat and watched the results coming in, Ohio was officially called as being Obama. This brought Obama to around 273 votes, leaving Romney at 203 and the Fox News team in utter disbelief, and as Morley says, "having a very angry conversation about how terrible the electoral college system is."
The results for Florida have still yet to come in, but regardless, Obama officially has won 303 electoral college votes with Romney only at 206.,
After an exhausting and what feels like an incredibly long, hate-filled, ridiculous campaign, Obama is back in office for another four years.
Yes, the man still has promises to keep. Yes, he needs to find a way to fix the economy and create more jobs. Yes, he is not perfect.
But aren't we all bloody glad that four years on, the words YES WE CAN still ring true?
