Awesome Autumn Jewellery

By Jen Evans

Before writing this piece, there was some debate about whether Autumn Jewellery was an actual fashion "thing".

Having found a wealth of sparkly baubles in jewel tones and necklaces featuring woodland motifs, it was concluded that "yes" it is, indeed, a bona fide thing. Just like winter woolies and summer dresses – only sparkly and small.

The right jewellery is a great (and cheap) way to take your year-round wardrobe staples into the new season. That t-shirt that looked great in summer? Time to swap the sandals and hippy beads for a seasonally appropriate cardigan and chunky wooden beads.

Take a look at some of this autumn’s finest and most distinctive pieces.

Tatty Devine at Aubin and Wills

This capsule collection of perspex pieces brings together the best of both labels. There's the cartoonish quirk of Tatty Devine coupled with the understated Englishness of Aubin and Wills. The Dershingham Fox pendant will liven up a neutral snuggly jumper, whilst the Bovington bunting necklace will inject some jaunty colour to black basics.

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

ADR is a fashion legend who knows the power of the right accessories. Whilst her straight off the catwalk clutches and ornate jewels are out of most folk's budget, her collaboration with H&M promises to be far more affordable.

The gold-coloured pieces are loud and large with huge turquoise stones and neon accents. Wear them now to add frivolity to neutral knitwear, then rock them throughout the party season with glitzy gowns.

Monki

The kooky Swedish fashion masters know how to do statement pieces on a budget.
Take a walk through enchanted woodlands with their range of nature-inspired necklaces, rings and bangles.

These design-led pieces look great with casual jeans and jersey tops or with loose plain tunic teamed with tights.

Lola and Grace

Here's some jewellery made for partying! Although, most of the pieces will work just as well thrown on with jeans and a t-shirt. The vintage-inspired emerald necklace and earrings could be styled for glamorous evening wear, but it would be way more fun to layer it over a grungy grey t-shirt! The cute sparkle ring will grab attention – so make sure to get those nails looking ship-shape.

Kat and Bee

Fancy a trick or treat that will last year round? Check out these gorgeous skull and rose rings from Kat and Bee. They manage to mix vintage style with rock ‘n’ roll, without being passé. Want and need.
