While this time of year may mean joy, festivities and plenty of delicious food it's not very kind to the skin. (Or your hair, either, for that matter.)
There are plenty of products out there that claim to be "kind to skin" or say that they "traps in moisture" like your face is some sort of zip-lock bag, but you don't really know about a product unless you've tried it.
Below are a combination of products recommended by myself and Jen, our deputy editor, as well as a couple bonus products loved by our Twitter followers!
1. Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze, Lush, £11.95
Fly-aways and fluff driving you crazy? This all-natural, vegan-friendly hair treatment is the perfect way to help tame wild and fluffy hair!
2. Argan Oil. Melvita, £18
A little of this will go a long way to help repair dry hair and skin.
3. Wella Balance Shampoo, £8
If your scalp is feeling dry or sensitive, this shampoo can help bring balance back to your pretty head.
1. Kiehl's Ultra Face Cream, £43.50
A light but affective moisturiser that helps look after your skin all day long.
2. British Nanny, Lush, £25.95
This moisturiser is my absolute favourite, all year round. It may sound heavy as it's made from shea butter and packed full of almond and coconut oil, but it's perfect even if you have oily skin. This product also lasts forever as you only use a little bit at a time.
3. Nivea For Men Sensitive Moisturiser, Boots, £6.50
One for the men! I had quite a few male followers on Twitter who said this was their favourite, and at that price, who could argue?
1. Kiehl's Lip Balm, £9.50
This stuff is fantastic. It's very simply and lasts for a very long time! Plus, it doesn't smell or taste like anything.
2. Honey Trap, Lush, £5.50
This vegetarian-friendly, delicious lip balm will keep your lips moisturised and smelling lovely using almond oil, vanilla and honey.
3. Blistex Intensive Moisturiser, Boots, £2.63
A favourite of our Deputy Editor Jen, she says she loves this product because it's really creamy and that it "sorts out cracked and flakey lips in no time". She adds that it also has a "lovely minty fragrance that makes it tingle when applied."
1. Charity Pot, Lush, £6.95
This lotion is great for your hands and body as it's made from organic cocoa butter and almond oil. But, even better, 100% of the proceeds from each pot go to the charity it mentions on the lid. How about that?
2. FUN, Lush, £5 each
Another favourite of Jen's she explains that it "makes getting out of bed and into the shower more bearable (and fun) on cold mornings! It is part soap, part modelling clay - all squishy and candy scented. 10p from every purchase goes to help children affected by the Fukushima nuclear disaster."
